Access to the ArcGis application

At first, let have a look to access to StoryMap builder web application...

An ArcGIS organization or public account is required to author and publish stories in ArcGIS StoryMaps. An account is not required to view stories that have been created in ArcGIS StoryMaps and shared with everyone.

In this leason, we will build a storymap with a public account (free). A large part of the functionalities are available with this account.

We will see later the differences with an organization account.

First step, go to the link above and create an account if you don't already have one.

Click the New story button and then click Start from scratch.

A blank story template appears.

For Title your story, type:

In The Atlantic forest of Brazil

For Start with a short introduction or subtitle, type or paste the following text:

Let's discover together a jewel of Brazilian nature, its people and its wild nature...

You can change the title at any time. Next to the Draft badge, you'll see evidence of the autosave feature in ArcGIS StoryMaps; any time you edit your story, that text will let you know your story is saving and then confirm that your changes have been saved.
